About Dr. Cheri Adrian

Dr. Adrian earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at UCLA in 1990 and has been licensed by the California Board of Psychology since 1991. She trained at the West Los Angeles Veterans Administration Hospital in trauma, and did her internships at UCLA's Student Psychological Services and UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital. She went on to be a Staff Psychologist at NPI/H where she also served as a Director of the Psychological Assessment Service and training program in psychological assessment. As an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry she taught and supervised psychology interns and psychiatric residents in evaluation and psychotherapy before going full time into private practice.

In addition to providing psychotherapy, she serves as an expert in standard of care and fitness to practice evaluations for the California Board of Psychology, California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and other administrative licensing boards in California. She is a Qualified Medical Evaluator for the California Department of Worker's Compensation, and serves as a psychological expert in personal injury civil litigation.

Her research, publications and lectures have focused on depression and anxiety, posttraumatic stress, ethics in therapy and forensic practice, and therapist-patient relationships.

In order to maintain safety during the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr. Adrian currently offers all services via telehealth.
